Our Degree Programs
Welcome to the CCPA Composition Program. In this area, you will find information about our degree programs, faculty biographies, recent composers and links to recordings of works by faculty and current (or recent) students. Our Frequently Asked Questions page (under Programs of Study) addresses a variety of issues that we often get asked by prospective students, including what types of scores to submit with your application, scholarship and assistantship opportunities, and what our recent students have done past graduation. Students will also find links to Chicago musical organizations under the links at the left side of the page, which give you a taste of the rich variety of the musical resources found all over the city of Chicago.
Our faculty is happy to meet with you should you plan a visit to the university, and our Enrollment Office will provide you with a tour of our facilities. Be sure to also ask to see the University Center (see Housing & Fees link on the left), our new state-of-the-art dormitory located within a block of Roosevelt University.
If you are prospective student and would like information regarding our degree programs, scholarships and assistantships, answers to frequently asked questions, please follow the Programs of Study link to the left. On these pages you will also find our composition program student handbook, list of guest composers, and complete information regarding courses and requirements. If you are interested in learning about our application process and the steps for admission, please follow the Steps for Admissions link.
