Phil Gratteau, drumset
The Music Conservatory Faculty

One of Chicago's leading drummers, Phil Gratteau has had tours and engagements in Athens, Greece; Dijon, France; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Stockholm, Sweden; Winnipeg, Canada; and across the United States. He has performed with literally dozens of today's most popular jazz and pop artists. His discography is extensive and includes productions with Judy Roberts, Made in Brasil, Akio Sasajima, the Simon and Bard Group, and Claudia Schmidt. He has taught and given clinics at area high schools, the American Conservatory, Interlochen Arts Academy, University of Illinois, Western Michigan University, and Elgin Community College. A graduate of the University of Illinois, he joined The Music Conservatory faculty in 1991.
