Rudy Marcozzi, music theory
The Music Conservatory Faculty

Rudy T. Marcozzi teaches music theory, aural skills and music history at The Music Conservatory. He holds a B.M. in Music Education from the University of Dayton, a M.M. in Piano Performance from Kansas State University, and a doctoral degree in music theory from the Indiana University School of Music. While at Indiana, Mr. Marcozzi received two teaching fellowships and Indiana's prestigious Lieber Award in recognition of distinguished teaching. His principal research activity includes musicianship pedagogy and structural tonal relationships in late Verdi operas. He is past editor of the Indiana Theory Review and is a reviewer for Pastoral Music. His publications include a textbook, Strategies and Patterns for Aural Training.
