Channing Philbrick, Assistant Co-Principal Trumpet in the Lyric Opera of Chicago Orchestra, has been on the faculty at Chicago College of Performing Arts since 1988. Philbrick is Second Trumpet in the Grant Park Symphony, and has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Rochester Philharmonic and the Savannah Symphony. Philbrick is also member of the Ravinia Festival Orchestra, Symphony II and the Millar Brass Ensemble. He has toured Germany and Switzerland with the Chicago Sinfonietta and toured Japan with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Philbrick is featured on compact disc recordings with the Millar Brass Ensemble on the Delos, Koss, and Crystal record labels, and can be heard on several Chicago Symphony recordings.
