Alice Render, horn
The Music Conservatory Faculty

Alice Render is an active free-lance musician in Chicago, playing as extra and substitute horn with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for over fifteen years. During her tenure with the symphony Ms. Render has performed in every position in the horn section and was a featured soloist under Maestro Pierre Boulez. In addition to the many tours and recordings with the CSO, she is active in commercial music, shows, other orchestras and chamber groups in the area. Render has also played with the Sante Fe Chamber Music Festival and performs and teaches with the Marrowstone Music Festival in Washington State. She played Solo Horn in the Western Australia Symphony Orchestra in Perth.
