Charles Schuchat, tuba
The Music Conservatory Faculty

Charles Schuchat is a member of the award-winning Asbury Brass Quintet and has performed and recorded with the Chicago Symphony, Boston Symphony, and Israel Philharmonic. He has participated in numerous music festivals including the Spoleto Festival, Ravinia Festival, and Tanglewood Music Festival. While at Tanglewood, Schuchat received the C.D. Jackson Award for Achievement. A native of Washington, DC, he spent the 1997-98 season as principal tuba of the Israel Philharmonic. Schuchat is a former student of Arnold Jacobs.
