Theatre Conservatory - Steps for Admission

  1. A photo of a CCPA productionAll applicants must apply online. Applications are due January 15.
  2. Review audition dates (see Audition Dates Link at Left). An application MUST be on file before you can schedule an audition. Follow the directions from the online application to request your audition. International students: Please submit the application form, then contact The Theatre Conservatory at theatre@roosevelt.edu to request your date.
  3. Send all of the following supporting application materials to the CCPA Enrollment Office:
    • Head Shot (8x10, b&w or color)
    • One-page Theatrical Resume (please include your height)
    • Three sealed letters of recommendation
    • Two sets of Official Sealed Transcripts. These may be sent directly from your high school and/or college to the address below.
    • High school students must send an official copy of their ACT or SAT standardized test scores. Many high schools print test scores automatically on transcripts, so check with your school counselor when requesting your transcripts. You are not required to submit your test scores separately if they are printed on your high school transcript. If you are requesting the scores directly from the testing centers, Roosevelt's ACT code is 1124; SAT code is 1666.

  4. US Citizens and permanent residents must file the 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if they wish to be considered for aid (which includes scholarship). The priority deadline for the FAFSA is February 1. Note: Applicants are considered for scholarship through the college. Auditions, grades, test scores and financial need are considered. The Roosevelt University FAFSA code is 001749. (This may come up as Roosevelt- Schaumburg, this is correct!)
  5. Present your live audition. Videotapes are not admissible for theatre applicants. Review audition requirements on the Audition Requirements Page (see links at left).
  6. Await our decision (usually arrives by April 1).
  7. If admitted, respond with the signed agreement and deposit by May 1 to the CCPA Enrollment Office. Your spot is NOT reserved unless you have notified, and received confirmation of notification from, the CCPA Enrollment Office. Undergraduates must also return the residence hall security deposit and application. CCPA maintains a two-year residency requirement for students under 21.
